P.O. Box 795
Berkeley, CA 94701
March 31, 1987
To the Executive Committee of the Triple Nine Society:
Norm Treloar reported the resignation of Louis Mathe as
Regent of the Society in his letter of February 13. Although
Louis later changed his mind and wished to rescind his
resignation, Anne Paradise has ruled that the effective date
of his resignation was February 6. Louis is no longer a
member of the Executive Committee.
As Norm Treloar reported in his letter of March 25, Ron
Hoeflin has been replaced as Editor by Linton Herbert.
Four members of the Executive Committee of the Triple
Nine Society (Herbert, Hoon, Langdon, and Paradise)
have agreed to take the following actions:
1. To remove Barry Kington from the office of Membership
Officer.
2. To appoint Hal Darancette Membership Officer.
3. To declare null and void the 1987 election of the Society
and to hold a new election.
The votes of all four for the actions listed as 2 and 3 are
contingent upon action 1; thus a majority of the Committee
has acted on all three proposals and they have been adopted.
The Ombudsman has also ruled separately that the election is
invalid and recommended that a new election be held.
Confirmations of all four votes have been mailed prior to
this date. Therefore, as the election is invalid, no new officers
will take office on April 1.
Norm Treloar will make a more complete report on the voting
on these matters after votes from all members of the Committee
have been received.
The appointive officers who have been replaced are requested
to turn over all records and other appurtenances of their offices
to their successors immediately, to prevent disruption of the
Society's business.
Sincerely,
Kevin Langdon
